The Village Word and Antique Shop

Located in the Historic and National Landmark Town of Bethania North Carolina, we are not only a quaint antique shop, we are a word shop. Cleverly called antiques in bethania, and The Bethania Emporium. I specialize in primitive to museum quality, eclectic, unique, sometimes sublime, often imaginative, sometimes ridiculous and zany pieces. I prefer to place things without rhyme or reason and display everything in vignettes.

The Village Word Shop on the other hand is an extension of my freelance writing career where words are placed with rhyme and always reason and came with a hard earned MFAW degree from Goddard College, (not to mention over twenty years experience in sales and marketing).

Store Hours: Tuesday through Saturday 10 to 5.         

Writing Hours: 24/7. We meet all deadlines.

Writing Tutor Hours: By appointment as needed.

WRITERS WORKSHOPS

In Historic Bethania

A series of six - three hour long workshops designed to tap into your creativity and to draw on your own  adventures to inspire you to want to write. Creative writing is writing for yourself, not necessarily for an audience. It is personal, powerful and fun. Each class will have a theme.

Workshops will include fiction, nonfiction, prose or poetry, along with writing exercises that have humor, fun, silliness, laughter and even tears.  From beginner to advanced writer, the sessions will help you open the flow of words through writing, and by sharing tools to assist you with the writing process.
